Abstract

Objective To explore the correlation of plasma adiponectin and TNF-α in type 2 diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods The 100 patients with T2DM were divided into normal albuminura 36 cases, microalbuminura 34 cases, macroalbuminura 30 cases, and nomal control 30 cases. To measure the level of urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER),adiponectin and TNF-α.Results The serum levels of adiponectin and TNF-α was significantly higher with the development of illness in DN than in simple diabetes mellitus(P0.05 or P0.01).The serum levels of adiponectin and TNF-α was significantly higher with the incipient DN than in overt DN(P0.05 or P0.01).Pearson and multiple correlation analysis indicated that diabetes duration,TNF-α,Scr and adiponectin were positively correlated to UAER(P0.05 or P0.01).Correlativ analysis indicated that TNF-α was not correlated to adiponectin(P0.05).Conclusion The level of adiponectin and TNF-α was positively correlated to diabetic nephropathy. The role of adiponectin and TNF-α is correlated with the degree of diabetic nephropathy.
