Abstract
Salt-free dyeing of cotton fabric with HE type reactive dyes in the ethanol-water system is carried out,and compared with the conventional dyeing process.The results show that the exhaustion and fixation of dyes reach a maximum in the mixture system of 90% ethanol and 10% water.The fixation of cotton fabric can improve by 4.5% ~ 43.8% with NaOH pretreatment and higher dyeing temperature compared with that of conventional dyeings.
