Comments on Construction of Passenger-dedicated Railway Tunnels

Taking the tunnels on No.3 bid section of Hefei～Wuhan passenger-dedicated railway as case history,the authors summarize the features,construction principles and construction methods of tunnels on passenger-dedicated railways.The authors expound in detail on the factors influencing the durability of the tunnels on passenger-dedicated railways,the necessity and importance to strengthen the construction safety control and quality control of the tunnels and the authors' experience in these respects and the application of new technologies to improve the construction quality of the tunnels on passenger-dedicated railways.Finally,the authors make some recommendations on some concepts of tunnel construction on basis of their construction and management experience.The paper can provide reference for the design and construction of future passenger-dedicated railway tunnels.
