Abstract
The finite element modal analysis of the practical flexible rotor system supported by AMB is carried out according to different groups of parameters. The first 8-order critical speeds and mode shapes are solved respectively. The correctness of the calculation results is tested and verified by the experiments. The calculation results are discussed and the dynamic characteristics of the rotor system supported by AMB are summed up.That is,the bearing-dominated low-order critical speeds and vibration modes are decided by the AMB control channel, and the rotor-dominated high-order critical speeds and vibration modes are in line with the universal law of dynamics characteristics of the conventional bearing rotor system.
