Abstract
The rotor system is an important device in the large motor and its vibration characteristic directly affect the performance of the motor. To obtain the vibration characteristics of the rotor, the finite element analysis software ANSYS was applied to get the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the rotor based on the dynamic theory. The first twenty natural frequencies and critical speeds were calculated by modal analysis;also, the main factors which affect the vibration characteristics of the rotor were found out.The conclusions can give basis for the design of the rotor's desirable working speeds and enhance the rotor's vibration characteristics.
