DISTRIBUTION AND COMBINATION OF HMW-Glutenin subunits IN CHINA WHEATS

Abstract

Distribution and combination of high molecular weight glutenin subunits(HMW GS)in 393 wheat varieties(including a few lines)planted widely in China were studied.The results indicated that compositions of most HMW GS in China wheats are the same as that abroad.But some special HMW GS(SHMW GS)were also found in China wheats.The frequency and characteristics of all of these HMW GS(or combination types)were probed.
