Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of fire-needle therapy in treating cervical spondylosis of nerve root type.Method Totally 130 patients with cervical spondylosis of nerve root type were randomized into a treatment group of 70 cases and a control group of 60 cases. The treatment group was intervened by fire-needle therapy, while the control group was by electroacupuncture. The therapeutic efficacies were compared and evaluated after 3 treatment courses.Result The total effective rate was 92.9% in the treatment group versus 70.0% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Fire-needle therapy is an effective approach in treating cervical spondylosis of nerve root type.
