Abstract
[Objective] The propose of the study was to increase the propagation rate of Lagerstroemia indica and establish the its rapid propagation system. [Method] With L. indica seeds as the explants, 6-BA, NAA and KT with different concn. were added into MS medium to study the effect of different media on induction, proliferation and rooting of L. indica tube seedlings. [Result] The germination rate of L. indica seeds on medium with the hormone at some concn. was obviously higher than that in medium without the hormone. The medium for inducing the L. indica tube seedlings was MS+6-BA 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.01 mg/L. The budding rate, mean length and growth state of bud varied obviously with the change of 6-BA, NAA and KT concn. The optimum medium for proliferation was MS+6-BA 2.0 mg/L+KT 1.0 mg/L+NAA 0.01~0.05 mg/L MS+NAA 0.5 mg/L. The optimum medium for rooting was MS+NAA 0.5 mg/L, on which, the tube seedlings grown strongly with more and thick roots. [Conclusion] The concn. of hormone such as 6-BA, NAA and KT had great effect on forming and rooting of L. indica clustered shoots.
