Effect of Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction on Blood Glucose in Diabetic Rats Model

Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the role of Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction on blood glucose,blood lipid and insulin by high calorie feeding and cytokine of streptozototozin(STZ) induced diabetic rats.Methods:Male rats were divided into normal control group,high calorie feeding and intraPeritoneal injection of STZ-induced diabetic rats were divided into model control group,5、10、20g·kg-1 dose of the Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction groups,normal and model control group rats were fed an equal volume of distilled water,1 time Per day for 4 weeks.After last administration,the blood glucose,blood lipid and insulin level was detected in each group.Results The blood glucose,blood lipid and insulin was significant lower in the groups of different doses of the Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction than before administration.Conclusion:The Sanhuang Xiexin Decoction has a protective effects on the increase of blood glucose in high calorie feeding and STZ-induced diabetic rats.
