Research Project of Promoting the Combination of Agriculture, Science and Education in the Compulsory Education in the Countryside of China

The task and function of the compulsory education in the countryside of China needs to be redefined. Traditionally, the basic education in the countryside emphasizes helping the students to enter a higher school, now it not only helps the students to enter a higher school, but also emphasizes the basic education for the local social and economic development. Therefore, the basic education to implant culture and knowledge in the students has become the basic education combining culture and knowledge with the knowledge of agricultural science and technology. This is a change in the mode of basic education in the countryside of China and also in the tasks and functions of junior high school education in the countryside. It is a new approach to deepening the reform in the junior high school education of the countryside in China.
