Clinical application of acupuncture on activity disturbance of the shoulder joint after operation of fracture

[Objective] To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture and rehabilitation on activity disturbance of the shoulder joint after operation of fracture.[Methods] All 93 patients with shoulder dysfunction induced by fracture of the lateral condylar neck were randomly divided into Warm acupuncture and rehabilitation group(37 cases) and Hui acupuncture and rehabilitation group(30 cases) and a rehabilitation group(26 cases).The Warm acupuncture,rehabilitation goup,Hui acupuncture and rehabilitation group were acupunctured in the rigid part of the wicked shoulder.assistant acupoints were quchi,hegu,yanglingquan.After acupuncture,some shoulder rehabilitation exercise were done.The rehabilitation group did some passive shoulder rehabilitation exercise firstly and then some active shoulder rehabilitation exercise.The curative effect was analyzed after 50 days.[Results] Compared with scores before treatment,there was significant difference in the VAS of the shoulder,function,and the score of ROM after treament(P0.05).After treatment,compared with the single rehabilitation,the Warm acupuncture,rehabilitation group,Hui acupuncture and rehabilitation were found with significant difference in the VAS of the shoulder,function,and the score of ROM(P0.05).[Conclusion] The acupuncture has obvious therapeutic effect on movement disorders of shoulder joint after operation of fracture.
