Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of grain moxibustion in treating chronic intractable diarrhea.Method Sixty patients with chronic intractable diarrhea were randomized into a treatment group and a control group,30 in each. The treatment group was managed by grain moxibustion, and the control group was by orally administrated Chinese medication. The clinical effect was compared between the two groups after a treatment course.Result The total effective rate was 83.3% in the treatment group versus 63.3% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion Grain moxibustion is an effective way in treating chronic intractable diarrhea.
