Abstract
The lactating Sprague-Dawley rats were subcutaneously injected by somatostatin(SS) and its exhaust agents, the expression of related genes in mammary development, the SS content in serum and mammary gland were detected using the RT-PCR and radicalization immunity assay methods to study the correlation of SS to other factors. The results showed that SS improved the SS content in serum and mammary gland of lactating rat,down-regulated ERα,PR,GHR and PRLR mRNA expression,up-regulated Leptin and LEPR mRNA expression. On the contrary, its exhaust agents reduced the SS content in serum and mammary gland of lactating rat,up-regulated ERα,PR,GHR and PRLR mRNA expression,down-regulated Leptin and LEPR mRNA expression.Somatostatin regulated mammary development by regulating the expression of the related factors.
