Abstract
Objective To discuss the influence of SDG on non-emasculated rat in BPH.Methods 60 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups, the blank control group were only given Normal Saline(NS),the model group was given equivalent NS,the third group was given 1.0 mg/(kg·d)Finasteride,the fourth, fifth and sixth group were given 3.6 g/(kg·d),1.2 g/(kg·d),0.4 g/(kg·d)SDG inspectively. At the same time, except the blank control group, rats in the above-mentioned 5 groups were given 10 mg/(kg·d)Testosterone Propionate by subcutaneous injection for continuous 25 days.On the 26th day, serum was taken and the PAP vitality was determined. Then the prostate was separated, and weighed, the index was calculated and the organizational form of the prostate was observed. Results SDG in different dose groups had no significant effect on wet weight and index of rat prostate(P0.05),but could affect serum PAP vitality(P0.01).As for the organizational form of the prostate, each dose could release the change of prostate caused by Testosterone Propionate:showing thinning epithelium, reducing secretion in glandular cavity and interstitial substance. Conclusion SDG had some inhibitory effect on BPH in rats.
