Abstract
The Mohr failure envelopes for rockfill exhibit significant nonlinearity at high stresses. Nonlinear strength is described by exponential and logarithmic mode. Stability analysis of high rockfill slope indicates that safety factor of nonlinear analysis is bigger than linear analysis. Safety factor based on linear rule should be properly increased. A criterion of safety factor is suggested.
