Abstract

The taxonomic history of Neocentrobiella Girault is briefly reviewed. A new species collected from Danzhou, Hainan Province is described and photomicrographs for morphological characters of the species are given. The terminology follows Pinto (2006). A diagnostic key to separate known species of the genus is provided. All type specimens are mouted on slides and are deposited in the Biological Control Research Institute, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Neocentrobiella danzhouensis sp.nov. (Figs.1-5) This species is similar to Neocentrobiella terebrator Yousuf et Shafee, but differs from the later in having the distinctly longer marginal fringes and ovipositor. Holotype ♀, Danzhou, Hainan (19°31′N, 109°34′E), 7 Nov.2005, LI Wen-Biao swept from grass land.
