Abstract

Since 1995,China has been the world's largest producers and exporters of both textiles and garments. In recent years, the export of China's textile and garment is considerably affected by the gradual rise of the green trade barriers, the weakness in the international textile market demand, the change in exchange rates and the adjustment of export rebate tax.The article analyzes the impact of these factors on the export of China's textiles and garments in order to provide empirical evidence based on empirical gravity model. It is suggested that China should perfect the present green standards as soon as possible so as to lead textile and garment industry on the road of green production and green exports. We should motivate garment enterprises to enhance their quality consciousness, innovative consciousness and brand consciousness, realizing their interior upgrade.Besides,we also should realize diversified export markets, developing domestic market, making real the goal of internal and external collaborative development.
