Abstract
Two stochastic inventory models with continuous requirement under traditional-managed inventory pattern and vendor managed inventory (VMI) pattern are constructed. And the cost and benefit of the two patterns are compared. Research indicates that the most difficult thing in using VMI is how to guarantee the profit of vendors, which requires them to hold some special conditions from the retailer.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
