Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical application of catheterzation of internal jugular vein during perioperative period, points for attention, prevention and treatment of complications.Methods Data of catheterization of internal jugular vein in 270 surgical patients were analyzed retrospectively.Results 265 catheterizations were successful, 5 catheterizations failed, with the operation success rate being 98.3%.24 patients had complications.Conclusion The catheterization of internal jugular vein is a safe and effective central venous catheterization method with high successful rate and less complications.
