Abstract
The effect of methane concentration on coal dust explosion pressure was studied in the horizontal pipe gas-dust explosive devices, and the experimental data of parallel tests were analyzed. The explosion pressure, pressure rise rate and minimum ignition energy were summarized. The results show that the existence of methane increases the pressure and pressure rise rate on coal dust explosion, reduces the minimum ignition energy of coal dust below the explosion limit of methane.
