Abstract
[Objective]To understand benzene,toluene and xylene concentration in painting workplace of automobile stores in MinHang District of Shanghai City,so as to prevent occupational hazard events which caused by combined effect of benzenes and other hazards.[Methods]A total of 19 automobile stores in MinHang District were randomly selected as the survey objects for supervision,monitoring and on-site investigation of painting workplace.[Results] Benzene,toluene and xylene concentrations in most stores(0.6 mg/m3,1.2 mg/m3 and 1.6 mg/m3 respectively)were lower than their detection limits.[Conclusion]The benzene,toluene and xylene air concentration in painting workplace present lower than national standards,however,the potential risk of occupational hazard result from combined effect should never be underestimated.
