Abstract
[Objective] To understand the pollution level of benzene, toluene and xylene in the workshop air and the renovation effect through the analysis of the changes in benzene, toluene and xylene concentrations in the air of the enterprise workshops in a district of Foshan City in recent years. [Methods] Occupational Hygienic investigation and field air concentration determination were carried out to evaluate the control effect against occupational hazards in this project. [Results] The standard exceeding rate of benzene, toluene and xylene showed a decreasing trend, the difference was significant (P0.01); the detection rate of benzene also decreased annually with the lowest rate took palce in 2006 (P0.01), the detection rate of benzene was still in a high level (30.13%) during 2006—2007.[Conclusion] The prevention and control measures are proved to be effective in recent years; occupational hazard control should be strengthened agonist benzene.
