Abstract
The field efficacy of 5 pesticides to control sugarcane borer was tested. The results indicated that there was very significant difference among these different treats not only in the degree of insect pest, but also in cane and sugar yield.5 percent of Monosultap and chlorpyrifos cartap granule, which could be respectively applied with 75 kg/hm2 both in planting stage and in the earthing-up period, was supposed to be the most effective to control sugarcane borer and to increase cane and sugar yield.
