Efficacy of Different Pesticides aganist Borer in Sugarcane

Borer is the main insect of sugarcane,it is harm to sugarcane during the growth time,and it must be controlled for the reason of influencing the quantity and quality badly. Efficacy of different formulations of pesticides to control sugarcane borer was tested during 2008 to 2009,the result of tests in fields showed that 5% Pesticide Zhelaijing is the best treatment to control sugarcane borer,secondly was compound terbufos。The result demonstrated that using 5% Pesticide Zhelaijing about 120 kg/hm2 had the best control effect than other treatments against sugarcane borer,it suggest that using 5% Pesticide Zhelaijing about60 kg/hm2 when planting,Seedling stage topdressing once again about 60 kg/hm2.
