Abstract

This paper is to analyze the typical problems existing in foreign language teaching in Chinese universities at present.That is,college English teaching mostly focuses on the teaching of language points such as grammar and vocabulary but neglects the cultural background of the language materials.As a result,many problems have occurred.So it is suggested that students' language proficiency can be improved by means of crossculture communication.
