The correlation between taking aspirin and recurrence of ischemic stroke in the patients recovering from cerebral infarction

Objective To investigate the effects of prevention against recurrence of ischemic stroke in the patients recovering from cerebral infarction with aspirin.Method 132 patients,who h ad undergone cerebral infarction were randomized into 2 groups.One group had asp irin 75～ 100 mg/d for prevention against recurrence of ischemic storke,the o ther group without Aspirin were taken randomly for control.The recurrence and A DL between the two groups were compared and analyzed.Results Th e recurrence rate of the ischemic storke in aspirin group was significantly lowe r than that in the control group(P0.01),and the ADL1 level i n aspirin group was higher than that in the control group.Conclusion Aspirin can reduce the recurrence of the ischemis stroke and its ADL in th e patients recovering from cerebral infarction.Aspirin can be used for secondary prevention of ischemic stroke,it may be of great clinic value.
