Clinical analysis of 123 cases with early syphilis

Objective To study the clinical features and treatment of the patients with early syphilis.Method The clinical files of 123 patients with early syphilis were reviewed.Results All patients with early syphilis occurred in 76 males and 47 females.The 53 cases of primary syphilis characterized by extragenital chancres.The 67cases of secondary syphilis characterized by palmoplantar syphilis,condylomata lata and polymorphic rash.The rest 3 cases were latent syphilis without any skin lesion.The serum USR,Trust and TPPA,of these cases were all positive.After the therapy of penicillin,the serum Trust were negative in 118 cases(95.9%).Conclusion The complex and various skin damage of early syphilis may increase in missing diagnose rate.At present,Benzathini Benzylpenicillinum is still the first choice medicine for the treatment of early syphilis.
