Abstract

The inhibition effect of D-Aspartic Acid and L-Asparagine on the corrossion of N80 steel in sulfric acid solution(0.1 mol · L-1) was investigated using polarization techniques and celectrochemical impedence(EIS).The study showed that the inhibitiors had promising corrossion inhibition efficiency at low concentration, the inhibition efficiency of D-Aspartic Acid reached 79.2 % and the inhibition efficiency of L-Asparagine reached 81.8 %,the acyl group of the structure of L-Asparagine could provide polar group that could form thin form to put up the higher inhibition efficiency. The inhibition efficiency(IE,%) increased with the concentration of inhibitors increasing.L-Asparagine acid was more efficient than D-Aspartic acid, and polarization curves revealed that inhibitors were all negative type of inhibitors.
