Development of the Chinese Narratology

After a glance at the process of the Chinese narratology development, we can see clearly that Chinese scholars have borrowed and absorbed the new ideas of the Western narratology to discover the cultural code of the Chinese narratology on the one hand, to summarize and upgrade the basic forms of Chinese narration through sorting out the ancient narrative documents, reconstructing and innovating the Chinese way of discourse on the other hand. The accomplishment of this hard process is symbolized by the publication of Chinese Narratology. A great number of Chinese scholars, therefore, are summoned to develop their own way of the theoretical study.
