Determination of the Content of Total Flavonoids in Citrus Peels by UV Spectrophotometry

Abstract

Taking rutin as standard sample,the content of flavonoids in citrus peels was measured with UV spectrophotometry at 261nm.The result shows:there was good linear relationship between the absorbance and concentration of the ruin.The correfficient was 0.9998,the average recovery rate was 99.79%,and RSD was 1.72%.The content of flavonoids in citrus Peels is about 0.857% this method is easy,rapid and the result is accurate.
