Abstract

Objective To investigate IL-6,IL-17 levels in blood and synovial fluid of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, their variable features in arthritis duration and relationship to laboratory markers. Methods IL-6、IL-17 levels from RA patients and controls were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunoassay(ELISA).Results Serum IL-6,IL-17 values were higher in RA patients compared with those in the controls, and so were in RA synovial fluid. There was a positive correlation between IL-16 and CRP,ESR,RF.Conclusion Th17 type cytokines overexpresses in serum and synovial fluid of RA patients, and Th17 type cytokine may play an important role in the pathogenesis of RA.
