Studies on Chemical Components of Essential Oilfrom Rhododendron Spp. in Changbaishan

Abstract

The essential oil of Rhododendron Spp. in Changbaishan was analyzed by GC/MS. Fortyseven components were identified and their relative contents were determined. The main components were: pCymene; Isoascaridole; Sabinene and α Terpinene.Ascaridole and isoascaridole, which was first detected in Rhododendron Spp.oil,and may be the effective ingredients for the medicine.
