Abstract

Objective:To study the relationship between the staining of p16 protein and PCNA in human salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma, to explore the correlation between the staining and patholoical subtype, recurrence, nerve invasion and to provide clinical data for tumor treatment and prognosis.Method:Apply immunohistochemical SP method to detect the staining of p16 protein and PCNA in 36 cases of ACC . The patients were follow-up researched for 10 years.Result:The positive rate of p16 protein staining had statistic significant difference(,P 0.05),but the positive rate of PCNA staining had no statistic significant difference(P 0.05) in differently pathological subtype. No correlations was found between the positive rate of p16 protein (P 0.05) but the positive rate of PCNA staining had statistic significant difference between recurrance and no recurrance (P 0.05).Conclusion:The deletion of p16 was related to pathological grades. The level of its staining indicated the progression of the pathological grade and malignant degree. The level of its staining could be used to evaluate invasion, predict recurrence.
