The Efficacy of Pregabalin Combined with Venlafaxine on Herpes Zoster Neuralgia Patients

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of pregabalin combined with venlafaxine treatment on postherpetic neuralgia patients.Methods 86 cases of post-herpetic neuralgia patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The control group was treated with oral pregabalin,while the observe group joint venlafaxine oral treatment on the basis of oral pregabalin.The treatment lasted for 8 weeks.The visual analogue scale(VAS),sleep score,and adverse reactions were investigated.The evaluation of the patient's mental condition was assessed by Hamilton Depression Scale and Anxiety Scale.Results The total effective rate of control group was 86.0%(37/43),while the observation group was 97.7%(42/43).There was significant difference between observation group and control group(P0.05);with the extension of the treatment cycle,VAS scores and sleep quality,HAMD,HAMA scores were all lower in varying degrees,they were better than before(P0.05).Conclusion Pregabalin combined with venlafaxine treatment had significant effect on postherpetic neuralgia.It was able to significantly relieve pain,and improve sleep quality.
