Abstract
With the asistance of modified Jacobi elliptic function expansion method,not only the Jacobi elliptic sine function solutions,Jacobi elliptic cosine function solutions of a new type of nonlinear Schrodinger(NLS)equation are obtained,but also its simple solution is obtained.The periodic solutions obtained by this method can be reduced to the corresponding solitary solutions under the limit condition.Some of their corresponding graphs drawn with Mathematica and OriginPro are given.
