Abstract
Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effects of ruanganling capsules (RGLC) and oxymatrine capsules (OMC) on chronic hepatitis C(CHC) complicated with hepatocirrhosis. Methods Forty-two patients with CHC were assigned to two groups randomly. The patients in test group received 0.2 g of OMC and 2 capsules of RGLC thrice daily. The patients in control group received 2 capsules of RGLC thrice daily. In all cases, the treatment course was 3 months. Liver function, liver fibrosis index and HCV-RNA were detected in both groups before and after treatment. Results After treatment for 3 months, The levels of ALT, AST and Tbil were decerased significantly in two groups, and more significantly in the test group (P0.05). The level of HCV-RNA was declined significantly in test group. The liver fibrosis index were decreased significantly in two groups(P0.05). Conclusions OMC can improve liver function and has anti-HCV effects, and RGLC can improve liver function and alleviate liver fibrosis. The treatment with OMC and RGLC is safe and effective in patients with CHC complicated with hepatocirrhosis.
