Progress in research into tumor markers for prostate cancer

Abstract
Tumor markers for prostate cancer are not only useful to the early detection of prostate cancer, but also of high clinical value in the determination of the tumor growth, development, metastasis, follow_up of treatment result and prediction of prognosis. Because of easy availability and simple collection of blood sample, much of current studies were focused on various serum markers for prostate cancer detection and diagnosis. In this article, the progress in research into tumor markers for prostate cancer is reviewed according to the data published recent years.
