THE INFLUENCE OF WANG KAIYUN UPON THE POETIC CREATION OF JIN AN

Jin An was a well-known poet monk across Hunan province in the late Qing Dynasty and Republic of China.Most of his early poems are of hardship-chanting genre.In his middle-age,Jin An was invited to join the Blue Lake Poetry Society established by Wang Kaiyun.Greatly influenced by the poetic theories of Wang Kaiyun,Jin An imitated the elaborate style of the poets during the period of the Han,Wei and Six Dynasties and wrote many profound and far-reaching poems.Although Jin An was a monk,his poetry's a natural flow of true emotions,which made him very different from other Hu Xiang poets.
