Abstract
Flood control level is set in order to coordinate the conflict between reservoir flood control and benefit and make the hydropower station economic operating under the premise of security. According to the series of problems exposed in the design flood control level of Huangbaihe River Cascade Reservoirs in practical control application,this paper reviewed the flood control level and provided a theoretical basis for scientific flood control and benefit of reservoirs. The calculation results show that the design flood control level of Huangbaihe River cascade reservoirs is a little higher. It's appropriate to increase the storage capacity of reservoir for improving the economic benefit.
