Abstract
Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of insulin Lispro in typeⅡ diabetic patients in stress. Methods 80 type 2 diabetic patients in stress were divided into two groups in Guancheng Hospital from 2003-7 to 2005-12.One group was treated by insulin Lispro. Another was treated by regular human insulin( Nor R).The patients in two groups were checked fasting plasma glucose(FBG),2h postprandial glucose(after a standardized meal) before and after treatment ,and marked the total daily insulin doseand the number of hypoglycemic episodes of the two groupsR.esults After treatment ,the levels of FPG and 2h postprandial grucose were decrease significantly in two groups, but the 2h postprandial glucose of the insulin Lispro group was better than the regular human insulin group. The dose of insulin Lispro was not changed ,compared with the dose of regular human insulin at baseline .The incidence of hypoglycemia was decreased with Lispro. Conclusion Insulin Lispro is an effective agent for good glucose control with fewer hypoglycemic episodes in typeⅡ diabetic patients in stress.
