Abstract

Connective tissue growth factor(CTGF) is a factor contributed collagen fiber cell division and deposition of cytokines. It has been confirmed to be related with the development of multiple organ fibrosis closely.Studies manifested that CTGF was associated with myocardial fibrosis in the rat model of myocardial infarction. It is known that atrial fibrosis is an important pathology basis of the development of atrial fibrillation. So,it suggests that CTGF may have an important role in atrial fibrosis and will become an important target of anti-fibrosis treatment.
