Abstract

According to the estimation of genetic parameter and correlation analysis,the diverse and correlative relationship among several main economic characteristics of the different cotton varieties with Bt-gene was discussed and these economic characters heritability and correlation heritability were calculated.The result showed the lint yield could be improved with the improvement of lint percentage and number of balls per plant.The order of heritability was as follows: lint percentage plant height boll number boll weight.The correlation heritability between plant height and number of boll per plant,plant height and lint percentage was significant,respectively.The remarkable positive correlation between boll weight and fiber elongation was existed.The path analysis indicated that there was bigger straight path between lint percentage or number of boll per plant and the lint yield.The breeding goal of high yield and good quality can be achieved based on the improvement of number of boll per plant.
