Abstract
The design of the original tundish was improper in that the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet for each of the two nozzles was inconsistent, and too high a temperature drop occurred within the tundish.By optimizing the tundish structure,a proper temperature distribution within the tundish was obtained, the temperature difference between the inlet and outlet decreased, and the minimum temperature within the tundish slightly increased, while with scheme 3 yielding the best result.
