Abstract

T-style tundish in a steel company, the design of the original tundish was improper, too high a temperature drop occurred within the tundish also,so as temperature field got low uniformity coefficient.By optimizing the tundish structure,a proper temperature distribution within the ttmdish was obtained, the minimum temperature within the tundish slightly increaseand while with scheme 3 yielding the best result.
