Abstract

Objective: To approach the efficiency of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and moxibustion of Zhuang medicated thread (MZMT) in stomachache ( the peptic ulcer) of spleen deficiency syndrome. Methods: Seventy-five patients were divided into two groups randomly. The treatment group ( n= 45 ) was treated with TCM and MZMT and the control group ( n =30 ) with famotidine and flagyl. Results: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.5% ,which was significantly higher than that of the control group (83.3%) ( P 0.05). The recurrence rate of the peptic ulcer of the treatment group after six month was much lower than that of the control group ( P 0.01). Conclusion: TCM and MZMT had good therapeutic effect and low recurrence rate in the treatment of stomachache of spleen deficiency syndrome.
