Observations on the Therapeutic Effect of Acupuncture on Qi Stagnation-type Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of acupuncture on qi stagnation-type hyperplasia of mammary glands.Method One hundred and twenty patients with qi stagnation-type hyperplasia of mammary glands were randomly allocated to a treatment group(60 cases) and a control group(60 cases).The treatment group received acupuncture and the control group took modified Chinese herbal decoction Xiaoyao San.Result After 3 courses of treatment,the total efficacy rate was 95.0% in the treatment group and 81.7% in the control group;there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion The total efficacy rate of acupuncture for qi stagnation-type hyperplasia of mammary glands is higher than that of Chinese herbal medication.
