Clinical Observations on the Treatment of 60 Patients with Hyperplasia of Mammary Glands by Combined Acupuncture and Medicine

Abstract

Purpose To observe the curative effect of combined acupuncture and medicine on hyperplasia of mammary glands. Method Sixty patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands as a treatment group were treated by combined acupuncture and medicine. Meanwhile a control group of 18 patients receiving simple herbal treatment was established for comparative observation.Results and conclusion The total effective rate was 98.3% in the treatment group and 83.3% in the control group and the recovery rate was 76.7% in the former group and 45.8% in the latter group. The effect was significant better in the treatment group than in the control group.
