Abstract
Based on the simulation of the dynamic performance of spur gear transmission,the base line and the vertex of the gear teeth,the sinusoid profile relief was built with the B-spline hyperpatch.The contact stress distribution on working tooth surface was obtained by analyzing it with finite element method.The vibration acceleration and noise of testing gear were compared with those of standard involute gear on the gear dynamic transmission error test rig.The effect of the optimum gear profile modification method on improving the gear dynamic performance was identified.
