Abstract

A set of simultaneous oxic and anaerobic bioreactor was used to treat regenerated papermaking wastewater generated from some paper mill in Guangdong,China. Results demonstrated that average effluent concentration of COD and VFA was 89.70 mg/L and 0.89 mg/L respectively, both of them could be controlled below the Chinese discharge standard of GB 3544-2001.Moreover,GC-MS analysis was used to measure organic pollutants contained in regenerated papermaking wastewater.90 kinds of organic matters were detected and discovered, and 8 of them belonged to the list of environmental priority pollutants which was considered by EPA in USA.32 of 90 kinds of organic pollutants in the inffluent were completely removed.Distribution of organic pollutants in each process was analyzed to discover the degradation and transformation law in the process of simultaneous oxic and anaerobic treatment.
