Restructuring Loyalty and Filial Piety

The thought of loyalty and filial piety is one of the key contents in traditional Chinese ethical ideas, including a lot of moral intelligence which has realistic vitality . Its powerful cohesiveness ruled the harmonious stability of the folk families and played an important role in the centralization which consolidated the past feudal dynasties. But it evolves from the natural economy and feudalism, some of the views are passive and feadal,and keep exerting a bad influence on the society. Developing what is useful and discarding what is not rational to the traditional thought of loyalty and filial piety will have realistic significance to the building of our socialist spiritual civilization.
